Truly a BEAUTIFUL VACATION PARADISE!!!

My husband and I travelled to Maui from March 31st-April 10th with our 14, 10 and 18month old as well as two other families. In total there was 13 of us who were fortunate to stay at Waiola for 10 GLORIOUS days!!!! The hosts, Kim and Jim, made our stay exceptional with their AWESOME recommendations, service and heartwarming personalities!!! Waiola has everything right at your fingertips including an amazing pool and whirlpool. The view of the ocean was breathtaking and the whale watching from the deck was super cool. This paradise is kept exceptionally clean and very well organized. The luxury of feeling right at home while on vacation is better than anything and this is the atmosphere at WAIOLA!!! We loved it and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Maui!
All of the rooms at Waiola have a beautiful decor equipped with high powered ceiling fans and A/C!!! Something we needed because the weather was absolutely beautiful. The privacy of WAIOLA is also a BONUS!!!! It is located minutes from the beaches, FRONT STREET, Whaler's Village, and grocery stores.
All in all, this is a vacation that we will cherish forever!!!!! IT was truly a BEAUTIFUL VACATION PARADISE!!! Thanks to Kim and Jim!!!! MAHALO!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Wai Ola & found it to be our vacation Paradise! Beautiful views of the West Maui Mountains tucked into a very quiet residential area. We tend to be very busy on our trips and the location was great for us, very central for us to take day trips and to be picked up on our day tours. It was so nice after long busy days to come home to peace & quiet and enjoy a relaxing evening. Kim & Jim are great hosts, they will make reservations for you at Luau's & restaurants and give you really useful advice on what are the best places to eat for whatever price range you are looking for. They gave us great directions and advice on spots for some of our day trips like the Olivine Pools and the Nakalele Blowhole and even gave us the information for high tide so we could see it at it's peak! Kim by the way makes the best baked goods which she will surprise you with after coming home after a long day out and about-she could easily open a bakery they are that GOOD! It does not seem like you are in a hotel at all, it feels like being with friends and family at Wai Ola. They create a great atmosphere for all and the personal touches is what makes staying there that much better. It is not a matter of if we will be back just a matter of WHEN we will be back to Wai Ola! Many thanks for making our trip memorable.

My family and I just stayed at this location and we had a wonderful time. It was spacious and had places we could all be together but also privacy in our own rooms. The swimming pool and hot tub was a very nice plus. Kim and Jim were very helpful during out stay. The house was very well located on the island. I definately would stay there again.

What a pleasant surprise Wai Ola was! We truly enjoyed being your guests. Thanks for all the "little" things you did to make us feel welcomed - the welcome fruit basket was delicious and the homemade fudge was delectable. Thanks for going the extra mile to make our stay more pleasant. Waiola has just the right mix of "quiet" & "privacy" to separate it from the big resorts. The Honeymoon Cottage was so comfortable, we looked forward to returning to our little retreat in paradise each evening. Waking up each morning to the sounds of the pool waterfall and the birds singing was the icing on the cake. Wai Ola stands heads above the rest we wish you all the best. Our extended family of 10 adults and 7 children (most of them toddlers) rented this property for our Thanksgiving week vacation- and it was absolutely perfect! There was a great separation of space to accommodate nap schedules, and enough privacy to allow folks to get away from the central action when necessary. Owners Jim and Kim were such friendly hosts- and though they were on-site in their attached apartment, we saw them only briefly during our stay. They were very helpful with answering questions about local activities, and provided us with guide book information and useful tips for planning outings. The pool and hot tub got a lot of use in between trips to the beaches to snorkel and swim.
Wai Ola is located in a neighborhood of Lahaina- walking distance to a beach, and a nice walk to a shopping center and restaurants. The local bus-line also has a stop within a block of this home- and costs about $1 per ride. The bus can take you to locations up and down the coast and runs frequently. There is also plenty of parking for rental cars. The neighborhood is quiet and secure- we felt very safe.
This property served very nicely as a home-base for our family vacation- and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for clean, comfortable accommodations for a family vacation. If you poke around online, you will find that for the price, this is an amazing option for your next trip to Maui. I recommend it highly, and I am so relieved that we decided to rent this property instead of a few condos or a hotel to house everyone. We saved a lot of $ renting the entire property, and had a great place to stay where everyone could be together. It was absolutely perfect.

We just stayed at Wai Ola in Feb. We came from cold, icy Ohio. It was wonderful. We had our entire family with us - 3 grandsons -ages 8, 8, & 5 and 10 adults. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Kim & Jim made us feel very welcome and at ease. There were fresh flowers in each of the units, fresh fruit in the kitchen and fresh coffee beans for all the coffee makers. They provided plenty of beach towels, beach mats, chairs, boogie boards, coolers, etc for us to take to the beach. The pictures don't do Wai Ola justice. It's much better. You can't sit out on your own private lanai eating breakfast and watching whales in Ohio. For us it was the perfect place. The 5 year old expressed it best when we got back to Columbus and he had tears streaming down his face and said, "I want to go back there!"

Our group stayed at Wai Ola in Dec, and the experience could not have been better. This was actually my husband?s and my third time at Wai Ola but the first time to rent the entire property. The attention to detail provided to us by Jim and Kim as single-room renters in the past was just as exceptional, if not more so, as whole-house guests. The main house and rooms were spotlessly clean and ready upon our arrival to start our vacation. As we have experienced in the past, Jim and Kim were waiting to greet us and welcomed us as if we were members of their own family. The location is ideal and so close to every dining, shopping or beach adventure imaginable but admittedly, it?s hard to tear yourself away from the Wai Ola property since everything you could ever need is right there. The kitchen is fully appointed, and we really took advantage of the barbecue grills pool-side. Nothing quite beats enjoying a cocktail, eating fresh grilled seafood and watching the sunset from the spacious lanai ? unless maybe it?s taking a dip in your own private pool, relaxing in the hot tub or even watching the big game on the giant TV in the main living room. As always, Jim and Kim are available to offer a local's perspective on where to go and what to experience on Maui ? something you don?t get from the tourist magazines. As if escaping the frigid mid-west winter wasn?t reason enough for a vacation, Jim and Kim made it especially hard to leave their beautiful home. This rental property has something for everyone and is sure to please even the most discerning traveler. Once again, Wai Ola gets our highest praise.
